Formed in 1972 by Harold E. Collins the Chicago law firm of Collins & Collins is comprised of highly skilled attorneys. His sons Michael and John Collins joined the law firm later and became the fourth generation of lawyers in the Collins family.

Harold E. Collins
Harold E. Collins earned both his undergraduate degree in business administration and law degree from the University of Illinois, and has extensive experience in both state and federal courts. Harold’s current practice areas include business law, contracts, health care law, real estate law, estate planning, and probate. He has focused on becoming the business law firm of choice for family-owned and privately-held companies, medical practices, doctors, hospitals, surgery centers and clinics. As his health care and business law practice flourished, he began providing legal counsel on personal and family law matters to his clients, including succession planning for their businesses. Michael R. Collins
Michael R. Collins received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Michigan, and law degree from DePaul University. Michael was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1986, and represents clients in matters involving the areas of business and commercial law, civil litigation, real estate law, labor and employment, probate, estate planning, personal injury, contracts, family law, transportation law, and bankruptcy.
John P. Collins
John Collins earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Illinois, and law degree from the University of Chicago Law School. A former Assistant United States Attorney, John’s practice areas include business and commercial law, antitrust, non-profit law, healthcare law, real estate law, e-commerce, labor and employment law, bankruptcy, and business restructuring, government relations, regulatory compliance, risk management, white collar crime defense, intellectual property, and all related litigation.
In addition, as former general counsel for U.S. Soccer, John has extensive experience advising clients on sports law matters, and currently lectures on sports law and related issues, including governance, corporate structure and ownership, contracts, labor disputes, antitrust, intellectual property, and players’ rights. He has lectured throughout the world. John is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and FIFA Legal Committees and was previously a faculty member at the University of Chicago law faculty teaching sports law and legal ethics.
